When you are driving, make sure you are seat-belted and follow the speed limits and rules of the road.

A police officer may pull you over if they have reasonable belief that you are driving under the influence and/or they have probable cause to pull you over.

When you pull over in your car, do so in a safe manner in a reasonably safe area.

When an officer comes up to you, they MUST tell you why they pulled you over. This is a new law in California as of 01/01/2024.

You MUST provide your drivers license, registration, and proof of insurance.
