Know Your Rights: Expungement

Did you know that you can file an expungement to set aside your conviction? This means that if you apply to a job in a private industry, you can say "no" when asked if you've been convicted of a crime. 

Your lawyer can file a motion for an expungement. It is not automatic and must be crafted well in order to sway the judge to grant the motion.
