At this point tell the officer you are not discussing your case and you want to speak to a lawyer and DO NOT SPEAK ANY FURTHER. You may think you are helping yourself by explaining your situation, but the best thing you can do is remain calm and say NOTHING pertaining to your case.

If you are arrested for a DUl, you are REQUIRED to choose a chemical test of either breath or blood. If you do not do this, an officer will get a McNeely warrant and force you to pick blood or breath test. You will also be charged with "refusal allegation," at which point the California DMV will suspend your license for 1 year.

DUl's are very hard and scary for anyone. There are so many rules and regulations with the court and DMV.

You need a lawyer who specializes in DUI and knows the legal system and its complicated rules.

You need a lawyer who knows the latest new laws pertaining to DUIs.

You need a lawyer who knows how to mitigate the damage ASAP.

You need a lawyer who will protect you and help you.

Contact me with the link in my bio. I will discuss your case during a free consultation. You are not alone.
